Two astonishing lakes lie deep in the green hills of Castelli Romani, legacies of the huge dormant Laziale Volcano, unfortunately unknown to most people. The lakes are home to many natural and historical beauties. Fun fact: the Pope’s summer residence is located on a hill overlooking the lake.

Rocca Calascio
The highest fortress of the Apennines, a lonely sentinel which stands silently above the valleys. It was damaged by a violent earthquake in 1461 and never rebuilt. Join us in the "Ghost Towns" or "Medieval Castles" tour to see it with your own eyes!
