This green and fertile countryside is the heritage of a very violent ancient volcano, which is still dormant nowadays. Follow the magic ancient Roman path hidden in the woods which led to the ancient Roman city of Tusculum, where nature has taken over the ruins of Roman villas, tombs and theatres.

Drive towards Ariccia and bump into the Gravity Hill, a special road which subverts the laws of science, defying gravity (when you go downhill it looks, and feels, like going uphill and vice versa!). Many people (scientists, skeptics and people addicted to supernatural stuff) come from other countries only to test this mysterious road!

There is nothing more romantic than Nemi, a nice village overlooking the lake, which is actually one of the craters of the ancient volcano. Lovers are everywhere in Nemi, eating in front of the lake, wandering through the alleys, admiring the view... You will have also the chance to taste the typical flavours of the countryside and the exquisite local wild strawberries.

Look at Castel Galdolfo dazzled by the sun. It is a renowned town overlooking Lake Albano, a lake much bigger than Nemi and full of history and legends. Fun fact: the Pope’s summer residence is located on a hill overlooking Lake Albano.
